A little high altitude desert town, famous mainly as a launching point for the eponymous salt flats (the Salar de Uyuni), Uyuni has little to interest people who generally pass through as quickly as possible. It's hot in the sun, cold in the shadows and the evening and there's sweet fuck all to do. We were forced to spend an extra day here, however, and were surprised to find it quite relaxing. Nothing to do and no wifi forced us to sit down, relax, write postcards, read, relax and relax. Kinda nice.
